  "We have done numerous projects with Nova's ExoShield Walnut and this is my favorite! This table turned out beautifully. By using off-cuts from our dock, we were able to craft a gorgeous, custom Ipe table for our gazebo eating area. I chose to finish it with Walnut ExoShield to protect it from harsh Canadian winters and hot, bleaching summers. It was so simple to apply and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome!"

  "I recently refinished my old and tired Adirondack chairs with the ExoShield Premium Hardwood Finish. The chairs were weathered from years of outdoor use. They were an embarrassment to look at and my wife and I were ready to throw them in the garbage when a friend suggested we try the ExoShield Finish.
  
  We are so glad we did! We used the walnut color and now the chairs look better than when first purchased. The finish was so easy to apply. Just brush on, leave for a few minutes and wipe off. I easily completed the project over a weekend with time to spare to go ride my motorcycle. This oil based stain is fantastic and so much better than the brands you can buy from those large “do it yourself” home improvement stores. We now get so many compliments about our chairs and how good they look. Friends ask where can they get such beautiful looking chairs. My answer, go buy some old ones at a garage sale or Craigslist and stain them with ExoShield! You’ll be glad you did."

  "We installed and finished our 2x12 and 2x6 Batu dock trim boards last October using ExoShield Walnut. After seven months, the material still looks perfect. Wow! This stuff really does last. All my previous experience has been with Penofin's Hardwood Formula. This finish blows it away. Thank you!"

  "I did need to do a lot of stirring before all the settled pigment was dissolved; after that, no problem keeping everything in suspension. Dry to the touch this morning, less than 20 hours after applying. Odor is minimal! I am very pleased at this point and will keep you posted as time goes on. Thanks for all your help and advice!"

  "In 2018, my Cumaru deck was over ten years old and had lots of gray weathering. I tried deck cleaners and brighteners the year before and it really didn't help much; after finishing, it was back to gray again in 3 months. In 2019, I pressure washed and drum sanded with 24 grit. The sanding definitely got it got it down to fresh, clean & bright wood - original color.
  
  The finishing part was easy compared to all the prep work. I got over 750 SF of coverage from a single gallon of ExoShield. The coarse sanding definitely opened up the grain. The stuff just lays on so easily and really looks fantastic. I couldn't be happier.
  
  I've owned hardwood decks since 1996 and I've tried most of the popular oil based finishes and ExoShield absolutely lasts the longest. I re-coat my deck once per year. My process is to do a light pressure wash after applying 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner - I let it dry for at least a week before applying ExoShield so the stain can penetrate deep into the wood. I like the Walnut color the best. It goes on fairly red but looks fantastic after a few weeks."

  "We’ve used a number of products here in Florida where the sun beats down on our deck and have never found a successful product. We decided to try using your Black Walnut ExoShield and it’s performed much better than anything else we’ve tried. Tung Oil is the magic and your product is the magic! In addition, we stained our entire Cedar porch ceiling with Black Walnut ExoShield and then applied a coat of marine Spar Varnish over the ExoShield. We couldn’t be happier with the results and everyone who comes over compliments us on the beauty of our porch ceiling."

  "I removed the old teak top and chair arm caps (both made from 1x2” slats) and replaced them with a custom designed & built top and arm caps made from Ayous (from others). As shown in the photos, the ayous “came alive” when I applied your ExoShield product. I followed the great directions and found the work easy. The finish is gorgeous, smooth and durable. I spent a lot of time researching the various wood finish options and am very happy that I settled on yours. My application will be a great test site for the UV protection your finish will provide as I am in South Florida with my patio set getting direct sun every day. I’ll keep you posted on the results.   INCREDIBLE PRODUCT 🔥🔥🔥 product is easy to work with, directions are very clear, this is NOT slippery when its wet which is always a plus. I am using this for all my future projects for my cilents. If you want the best use this product.

  Great product, easy to apply. I recommended getting color samples first. Different woods color differently. Fast delivery too. If wood is dry expect to use more but with the fast delivery you’d get additional product within 2-3 days. Before and after. Fence color is even more drastic.

  The cedar now really pops with Nova. The old semitransparent stuff was peeling, we sanded down to the bare wood and applied Nova. What a difference.

  Very nice finish for my exterior IPE handrail - best I’ve found. It does spot after a rain but the spots disappear as it dries off. I used 2 coats on the IPE which was sanded with 120 grit.

  We used this product this past weekend. The color is beautiful and it absorbed easily making application easy. So far we are pleased.

  Amazing on trailer decking of course… But also works great for interior trim around doors and windows! Super durable, easy to clean and does not scratch like other finishes.

  Can't give an assessment of the durability over time of ExoShield but initial product application on syp trailer deck boards looks excellent and very durable. ExoShield is rated as a Marine Grade finish and it appears to be. Just one coat applied on interior boards and water rolls off boards. Two coats on exterior boards applied, just back brushed product and it leveled just fine. See how it holds up in the next 12 months. As others have stated...get what you pay for. Very high quality product and expect it to be a good value over time.

  Let's be honest ... this is a premium priced product. BUT, when you take into account that a little goes a long way ... that the results are outstanding ... that it's clear it will last a long time. Well, like so many things in life, you get what you pay for. I'm very happy with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again or recommend it to others. I went through about 1/3 of a gallon on these two projects. Both are redwood, but the wood for the patio is much older.

  Love this stuff. Color is fabulous. Everyone in my circle of influence says the same. It really makes my woodworking projects pop. And you seem to be the only good choice of wood stain colors out there. Everybody else out there just has the run of the mill stuff. Lots of choices in paint, but not so much in wood stains. And the tung oil/UV protecting aspects is over the top. Also has great coverage on my hardwood projects.

  The finished product looks great but it is a little pricey. I hope that the adage, "You get what you pay for" proves to be true.

  Product is worth every penny. We love using ExoShield for outdoor projects. We’re in Arizona and the sun is harsh. ExoShield does a great job protecting our work so our clients can enjoy for years to come.

  Learned about this company's product through a neighbor who used it on his new fence. I stopped to asked him after week's of doing my own research with no prior experience in staining. Was not disappointed how my own gate turned out.

  We chose ExoShield instead of acrylic stain for the exterior of our log cabin. After stripping 30 years of acrylic paint off the logs, this tung oil was hand brushed on and it brought out the beauty and character of the wood. Tung oil is a product of the tung tree and provides, even after drying, a wet looking finish that protects against insects, moisture and the elements. The mahogany color is glowing and gorgeous. Now we just need to redo our window trim and our exterior project will be complete. Below are three project photos: the first shows the acrylic paint stripping, the second shows the stripped house and the final photo shows the logs stained with ExoShield. Ordering was easy and the Meagan was very friendly and professional. We were offered a good discount because we ordered a large quantity.

  Works as it says. Have had it in the weather for about six months now and is holding up perfect!!

  This product was easy to apply and looks great. I believe it will be easy to maintain as time goes by. I was tired of having to refinish my garage doors every two years.

  We are building a multi-million dollar estate and spent days evaluating the best stain. After testing the "best ones on the market" we found exoshield. It crushed all of the competition on every front except maybe price. If your interested in quality, performance, and much less maintenance then this product is unbeatable!! The staff was also very accommodating and knowledgeable! The pictures on this review have 2 coats fyi. I did two coats so I could achieve the look that I needed.
